Daniela is a first-generation Chilean-American sound artist who specializes in sound design for live performance and audio editing for short films. They currently live in Athens Ohio, on the ancestral lands of the Shawnee, Hopewell, and Adena, where they are a Professor of Sound Design at Ohio University.

As they dig deeper into the art of sonic storytelling, Daniela is constantly inspired and challenged by fruitful discussions and necessary efforts against white supremacy, racism, transphobia, fatphobia and inaccessibility. They hope to learn from and collaborate with others to ultimately create evocative art injected with purpose and a call to action.

Their hobbies include: harmonizing to everything, finding new ways to eat tofu, watching {THE AND}, roller skating, and laughing too loudly for the given surroundings.
